I was at
FRIM (Forest Research Institute Malaysia) last Sunday for a shoot with
Afiq and Roger. Spend a good 5 hours in the forest and it was a great relaxing trip (i.e. no rushing about). Normally photography is not allowed at FRIM and will cost you RM300 if you want to shoot. But since there's a
photo contest organized by FRIM, you don't even have to pay the entrance fee (RM5 per car)! Just tell the guard you're there for photography. You'll need to go to building D6 to register for it. Do register before shooting because if they catch you without the contest form and authorized signature, you may have to pay RM300.

You'll get a map of FRIM and the interesting landmarks there.

This was one very interesting sight indeed. Look at the leaves of the trees. They're not touching so they form a pattern against the sky.

Spent 20 minutes shooting this mushroom.

Afiq, Roger and yours truly. Shot with my GSN using the mechanical timer.
Not a lot of good photos this time round. More photos will be posted as I get them from Afiq and Roger. We will be going there again next Sunday for the sunset and the Canopy Walkway. It is rumored that you can see the whole of KL from this walkway.
